Andy Vella MA(RCA) is a multidisciplinary designer, photographer and artist whose practice moves fluidly between graphic design, photography, visual art, publishing and music culture. Working across book design, corporate identity, conceptual album artwork, image-making and experimental photographic processes, his work explores the intersection of visual communication, materiality and artistic expression. His practice encompasses both commercial and independent projects, with a sustained interest in the relationship between analogue processes and digital technologies.

With a career spanning more than four decades, including an enduring creative collaboration with The Cure, Vella has developed a distinctive visual language that bridges design, photography and contemporary art. He is Consultant Art Director at Foruli Publications, where he contributes to the conception and development of finely crafted, collectible publications, and a Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design at Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), combining professional practice with a commitment to critical enquiry and experimental design education.
